Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of QamarDeen, a daily Islamic practice tracker for prayers, fasting, Quran reading, and sadaqah. They explain the optional account and sync service, local reminders, and separate support purchases. By using QamarDeen, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Effective: August 2026

1. Operator and contact

QamarDeen is provided by IhsanWorks LLC. Questions about these Terms or the service should be sent to QamarDeen@ihsanworks.org.

2. Service scope

QamarDeen provides tools for voluntarily recording five daily prayer statuses, optional prayers, private Khushu ratings, fasting types and history, Quran sessions and page counts, Sadaqah categories, and related summaries, streaks, calendar views, and statistics. The service may also include prayer-time calculations, fasting opportunities, local prayer and daily reminders, and educational or organizational content.

An account is optional. Signed-in users can synchronize worship records and selected portable preferences through the Clerk-authenticated QamarDeen sync API across their devices, while local tracking remains usable offline without an account. Device-only notification state, reminder history, cached prayer coordinates, and derived statistics are not promised to sync. Synchronization is not a backup or substitute for keeping any copy you need, and records may be merged or affected by connectivity and device state.

QamarDeen may offer separate optional support purchases: one-time contributions and monthly support subscriptions. RevenueCat coordinates the in-app purchase lifecycle with Apple App Store or Google Play billing. These purchases support QamarDeen and do not unlock worship-tracking features unless the product explicitly says otherwise. Billing, renewal, restoration, subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are subject to the applicable store and provider rules; deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription.

3. Prayer times and Islamic content

Prayer times are estimates produced from your device settings, optional location input or cached coordinates, selected calculation method, Asr method, date, and other calculation inputs. Different authorities, methods, locations, conventions, and local observations can produce different results. Confirm times with a trusted local authority when precision matters.

QamarDeen's fasting opportunities, labels, Quran information, summaries, and other Islamic content are provided for personal organizational and educational purposes. They are not a fatwa, religious ruling, or substitute for guidance from a qualified scholar or local authority. You remain responsible for your worship decisions and religious obligations.

4. Acceptable use

You may use QamarDeen only for lawful, respectful, personal purposes. You must not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer or redistribute it except as allowed by law, or use it to infringe another person's rights.

You are responsible for the device, operating system, permissions, network access, purchases made through a store account, and any content you enter or actions you take while using QamarDeen.

5. Your device data

Practice records and preferences are stored locally and, if you choose an account, some records and portable preferences are synchronized as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for protecting your device, managing backups, and deciding when to use Clear All Data. Clearing storage, uninstalling the app, changing devices, or a device failure may permanently remove local records. Sign-out and synchronization do not guarantee recovery of every local or remote copy.

6. Intellectual property

QamarDeen, including its name, branding, software, design, text, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to IhsanWorks LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership to you.

You retain responsibility for content you enter and any rights you have in that content. You grant the permissions needed for QamarDeen to store and display it on your device and, when you choose synchronization, transmit and store it through the sync service to provide that feature.

7. Availability and changes

QamarDeen is provided as available. Features may be unavailable, interrupted, delayed, or changed because of maintenance, device or operating-system behavior, permission decisions, network or sync failures, calculation updates, store availability, or circumstances outside our control. Local reminders depend on device permissions and scheduling behavior and are not guaranteed alarms.

The app is not a substitute for an emergency service, official time source, qualified religious guidance, or a backup system for important records. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these Terms when the service changes.

8. Termination

You may stop using QamarDeen at any time and may remove it from your device. To stop a monthly support subscription, use the subscription-management tools provided by Apple, Google, or the applicable provider; removing the app or signing out may not cancel it. We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, or discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law, will continue after use ends.

9. Disclaimers and liability limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QamarDeen is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. Prayer times, reminders, calculations, summaries, and Islamic content may be incomplete or incorrect; verify information before relying on it. RevenueCat, Apple, and Google control their own billing systems, purchase records, subscription status, cancellations, and refunds under their applicable terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IhsanWorks LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, worship records, profits, goodwill, or purchase access arising from use of or inability to use QamarDeen. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Dispute Resolution & Venue

Informal Process: Prior to initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact IhsanWorks LLC at QamarDeen@ihsanworks.org to attempt to resolve any dispute or claim informally for a period of at least thirty (30) days.

Governing Law & Exclusive Venue: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without giving effect to any choice-of-law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Application shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Collin County, Texas. You hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and waive any objection as to inconvenient forum in such courts.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AND IHSANWORKS LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
